Ditch the disposable crackers this Christmas and make something you’ll actually want to pull out again next year!
In this festive, beginner-friendly workshop at Change Clothes, you’ll create your own reusable Christmas crackers using reclaimed and upcycled textiles. We’ll show you how to turn fabric scraps and rescued materials into colourful crackers that can be filled, gifted, reused and brought back to the Christmas table year after year.
You’ll learn some simple sewing and construction techniques and have plenty of reclaimed fabrics, trimmings and festive bits and bobs to choose from. Go traditional, go kitsch, go completely over the top - Christmas is no time for restraint.
You’ll leave with your own handmade reusable crackers and the know-how to make plenty more at home.
All materials and equipment are provided, with a focus on reclaimed and reused textiles. No sewing experience needed - beginners very welcome!
